Released on the Eternal Life Music album, this song is the sequel to “It’s Goin’ Down!!” (Honest Effort), and presents in the tradition of the prophets of old, warning men to flee from the wrath to come by turning to God through faith in Christ, and reminding the saints that we need to be issuing this warning.  “Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the LORD. In the fire of his jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full and sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.”  Zephaniah 1:18.  “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men….”  2nd Corinthians 5:11.

Non-believers saying Christ not coming, But don’t trust them –

Listen man is appointed to die, then the judgment (4)

Or like a lightning strike. He’s a conqueror on a quest –

Our God’s consuming flame, now what good is a vest (8)

Repentance is best, ’cause anything less would be your downfall –

Make your peace with Jesus or I’m leavin’ without y’all –

So take your pick, heaven or hell? Easy decision –

Cats think it’s ’bout religion, it’s not. It’s just livin’ (12)

If I asked you … would you rather breathe or not –

it’s too late to get it straight when ya breathing stops –

This whole world’s gonna burn, and man is appointed to die -

Box with God? Man, I’m not gon’ try.  Tell you why (Why?) -

It’s hot in hell’s kitchen, I ain’t tryin’ to fry -

People telling you there aint no God.  That’s a lie!! (4)

Satan solicits suckers since the dawning of time -

This is a warning in the form of a rhyme.  Peep the design-

Different lies, same theme, got ‘em doubtin’ the signs -

Sayin’ nobody needs Jesus.  They out of they mind (8)

Without the Lamb of God, how do you atone for sin? -

Without the Word and Image how is God known to men? -

Without the Advocate, how do you approach the bench? -

Without the only Doorway, how you hope to get in? (12)

Now the Bible writes that Jesus Christ is all the above -

A walking illustration of God’s love.  Here’s the rub -

Think about it, if I extend my hand in peace -

And you don’t take it then we still got beef (16)

“And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.  Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.”  Zephaniah 1:17-18.  “Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought [the LORD's] judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.”  Zephaniah 2:3.
