“Eternal Life (the interlude)”

Acapella interlude from the Eternal Life Music album.  We used this to bridge the gap between “The Countdown” (a song warning of the outpouring of God’s wrath on those who reject Him) and “Still Love U” (a song about God’s committed love towards those who accept Him).

(Yo Ken, hold up for a sec.  I wanna say something).

Ok we’ve talked about hell, God’s wrath, and that’s the bad news –

The good news, is that Jesus Christ is the escape route –

But … I’m afraid that we do you a disservice –

and it makes me nervous, knowing we’ve only scratched the surface (4)

The reality’s that Christianity is much deeper –

It’s about the connection between God and the believer –

It’s about a relationship; knowing your own Father –

The Fountain of everything good, right and proper (8)

Who chose to create you, but wants to be chosen –

Who wants you to desire to pause and get to know Him –

Who owns universe but desires your affection –

Who hates sin ‘cause it’s the opposite of your connection (12)

and creates a great chasm keeping people at a distance –

Jesus Christ bridges the gap, but if you missed it –

The whole point is God trying to show you that He loves you –

He made us like Him.  He just wants to be loved too (16)

Some people reject Him.  Though he won’t force the issue –

Eternity without God is hell.  That’s where it gets you –

That’s the reason for the Cross & the blood sacrifice –

Knowing God through Jesus Christ, is eternal life (20)

 That’s what the Holy Bible says at John 17:3.   And I don’t think our words can fully express how much God loves you.  In fact, I know they can’t, but … His actions speak way louder than our words.
